Sharing our knowledge with young people and adults
We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and experiences with young people and adults that are struggling to find their way.
We have devised a range of programmes that combine media skills and careers advice, and we take a holistic approach supporting people to develop personal skills. We support school students that are struggling in mainstream settings, and NEETs that are finding it challenging to get back into work or education. They come to our state of the art offices in the town centre and work with our team.
What’s the outcome?
Our young people work on live briefs using the studio to photograph, make podcasts, and film using the green screen. They have regular talks and demos, they visit different companies, they have mock interview practice and have an option to go on placements.
- We work in collaboration with local colleges that provide advice and guidance around further education. So our young people go to college.
- We work with local training providers that provide traineeship, apprenticeship and employment advice. So our young people get employment with training.
- We work with local Job Centres to support employment opportunities. So our young people gain employment.
- We work with the British Red Cross, Spectrum, and Chilipep so they have advice on topics like sexual and mental health.

They come to our state of the art offices in the town
centre and work with our team to make positive change.
We work in collaboration with local colleges that provide advice and guidance around further education. So NEETs can progress onto full or part-time courses.
We work with local training providers that provide traineeships, apprenticeship and employment advice. So our NEETs can access employment with training.
We work with local charities so that NEETs have access to volunteering opportunities.
We work with the Chamber of Commerces and BMBC to provide advice and guidance from the business community.
