Sharing our knowledge with young people and adults
We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and experiences with young people and adults that are struggling to find their way.
So we devised a range of programmes that combine media skills, careers support and general guidance. School students struggling in mainstream settings and 16 – 18 NEETS come to state of the arts offices in busy town centres and we teach them how to make websites, videos and general marketing skills.

What’s the outcome?
Our young people work on live briefs using the studio to photograph, make podcasts, and film using the green screen. They have regular talks and demos, they visit different companies, they have mock interview practice and have an option to go on placements.
- We work in collaboration with local colleges that provide advice and guidance around further education. So our young people go to college.
- We work with local training providers that provide traineeship, apprenticeship and employment advice. So our young people get employment with training.
- We work with local Job Centres to support employment opportunities. So our young people gain employment.
- We work with the British Red Cross, Spectrum, and Chilipep so they have advice on topics like sexual and mental health.
